Hi! I’m Annilou!
I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 20 years, helping hundreds of people improve their health, strength, and confidence.
When I hit peri-menopause in my early 40s, everything changed. My body started responding differently. I had night sweats, a racing heart, stubborn weight gain around my midsection. The workouts, nutrition and routines that once worked so well for me were no longer giving me the same results.
At first, I didn’t understand what was happening. Menopause, to me, above all had meant: no more monthly period, a win! How uninformed I was. I quickly learned that along with this freedom came a whole series of hormonal shifts that affect everything from metabolism to sleep to stress resilience.
I dove into the research. I studied, asked questions, sought out experts, and learned exactly what was happening inside my body and, more importantly, what I could do about it.
What I discovered changed not only my own habits, but also my purpose.
With this knowledge came a renewed passion to support, guide, and empower other women through this transition with compassion, personalised programming, and science-backed fitness.
Vitala Fitness and Health was born.
A space where women in peri-menopause and post-menopause can reclaim their strength, confidence, and energy with programs that truly support their changing bodies.
